Designated Person

The Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) requires an individual to be appointed as the Designated Person (DP) to report to the Duty Holder that the Marine Safety Management System (MSMS) is working effectively.�The main purpose of the DP is to determine, through assessment and audit, the effectiveness of the MSMS in ensuring compliance with the Code.�We provide DP services for a number of Ports, appropriate to their specific needs to enable them to fulfil the PMSC requirement.
