Price GBP 4500 plus disbursements at cost for ISM system containing:
Phase 1 - preparation
Company CD containing
- SMM Draft procedures and forms as per attached list (see also attached glossary of terms)
Yacht CD containing:
- SMM Draft procedures and forms as per attached list
- Emergency Checklists
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Job descriptions for all crew
The CDs supplied contain draft (but very detailed) documents for logical amendment for the actual operating practices of the Company and yacht.
The price includes one re-work of the drafts, further amendments will be charged at the standard hourly rate if required.
The Company and yacht will receive a 6 months subscription for Regs4yachts including SOLAS. (This ensures compliance with the requirements to carry various regulations and shipping notices, has Approval from the MCA and is thereafter priced at GBP 599 per unit subscription per year)
Phase 2 - implementation
After the required amendments have been made the CDs are sent for implementation of the ISM System, plus:
Procedures Folders for Company and Yacht
Records Folders for Company and Yacht
Laminated Emergency Checklists plus Folder for yacht
Laminated Standard Operating Procedures plus Folder for yacht
Emergency Folder for Company
The Folders and procedures are all customised with the Company/yacht logo for optimal professional presentation.
Phase 3 – additional yachts
Cost GBP 3000 per additional yacht for the process outlined above.
Terms & Conditions
Invoiced in GBP plus UK VAT if applicable and reasonable disbursements at cost.
First Invoice (75%) on deposit and final Invoice after delivery of Version 1 CD’s.
Terms 14 days
Assumes no visit required to yacht or Company required.
Any ISM procedure amendments required for Flag Approval and issue of DOC or SMC will be included in the price. Operational deficiencies leading to Flag refusal of DOC or SMS are not covered.
The standard rate for additional work or further consultancy is GBP90 per hour plus VAT if applicable.
Please note also the following:
The above SMS can be submitted to Flag for issue of an Interim DOC, even before a yacht is managed under operation.
The SMS can then be implemented on the first yacht and Flag will inspect (after a month or two of operations) for issue of a full-term SMC and DOC
Role of DPA
The DPA fulfils a statutory function and generally needs to demonstrate competence, training and adequate support. Lack of direct experience can be compensated by appropriate Deputy DPA or on-call technical support.
Glossary of terms
Company | Means the Owner of the ship or any other organization or person such as the Manager, or the bareboat charterer, who has assumed the responsibility for operation of the ship from the Ship owner and who, on assuming such responsibility, has agreed to take over all duties and responsibility imposed by the Code. |
DPA | Designated Person Ashore – a person ashore having direct access to the highest level of management. The responsibility and authority of the DPA should include monitoring the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation of each ship and ensuring that adequate resources and shore based support are applied, as required. |

Additional productsElectronic safety and maintenance modules
The basic ism4yachts has procedures on CD and a paper based records system. Regs4yachts can provide additional functionality so that the yacht system contains photographs of all equipment in situ with operating instructions and maintenance requirements. The maintenance routines can be printed monthly in the form of a checklist with the actual maintenance tasks detailed for that month.
- Cost per yacht GBP 1000 if data collected by yacht (The price assumes that all digital images and operating and maintenance instructions and maintenance baseline dates are supplied by the yacht)
- GBP 3000 plus travel disbursements if data collected by Regs4yachts.
SOLAS Training Manual
A SOLAS LSA and FFE Training Manual is available. This is a high quality folder, customised with the yacht logo containing the images of the safety equipment, plus operating instructions together with the generic information required in all SOLAS training manuals.
It is intended to be placed in the crew mess and complies with SOLAS Chapter II-2 Regulation 15 (FFE) and Chapter III Regulation 35 (LSA).
